Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9, 1976, in Beaumont Puy of Domme. Audrey's parents, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. Their support is more than enough for Audrey to thwart her initial goal of becoming a primatologist. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift rise in fame marked her as a young actor. In 1998, after completing her degree she was invited to take part in Jeunes Premiers which is a French TV talent-scouting programme that was sponsored by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to begin her professional acting career. Although she studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou has distanced herself from the Catholic tradition, saying that she's not Catholic. Her acting and modelling careers are interspersed. She became the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and she is often known as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. The focus of her photography is famous people, the media and press that scrutinised her following her rise to fame with Amelie. Additionally, there are numerous photographs of her self. Audrey Tautou's first big performance, in the role of Amelie Poulain's lead actor in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain, brought her international stardom. Amelie was a global success at the box office and also won numerous awards across the globe. It's the most-grossing French film made in America. Later, in the same year, she appeared in British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
