She was born in Tottenham, London. Her Welsh-born father is English as is her English-born mother. She was taken by her mother when her father abandoned them. She started singing when she was four years old. With this she got obsessed with singing. Mother and daughter moved to Brighton. However, in 1999 the duo returned to London. West Northwood inspired her to compose the first of many songs. Adele, a former schoolmate of Leona Louis, a student at her BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology Croydon (where she completed her studies in May of 2006) relocated to London. Adele credits BRIT School for the ability she has maintained to perform, even though she was tempted to focus on artisans and collectors (A&R) in the early days and had been expected by others to take over their careers. Adele Mara..............Born Adelaide Delgado in 1925 Spanish-American Adele Mara was a singer/dancer with Xavier Cugat and His Orchestra in Detroit by the age of 15. Cugat brought this gorgeous brunette beauty to New York in 1942, after which a Columbia talent agent took her on. Cugat acted in a range of low-key, boring B movies with Tex Ritter including Vengeance of the West in 1942, and Alias B. Blackie in 1942, starring Chester Morris. She was transformed a few years later to a hot platinum blonde pin-up model when she joined Republic Studios. They mostly cast her in the senorita role opposite Roy Rogers, in Bells of Rosarita in 1945 as well as Gene Autry's Twilight on the Rio Grande in 1947. Her appearances also made for interesting fodder in crime dramas including Blackmail (1947) and Web of Danger (1947) as well as an enjoyable distraction in adventure pictures such as Wake of the Red Witch (1948) with John Wayne and The Avengers (1950). Her most memorable roles came in Angel In Exile, (1948), and Sands of Iwo Jima, (1949), both starring Duke Wayne. Her acting talent wasn't always rewarded, and her professional career started to slide during the 1950s. The Big Circus (1959) with Victor Mature, would be her final screen performance. Adele went on to TV and appeared in many guest spots, mostly westerns. In the end, she settled down to have a family following her wedding to Roy Huggins. Huggins produced numerous popular TV shows, including 77 Sunset Strip (in 1958) as well as Maverick. In a few of these, she would be an actor. Three sons were born to the couple. Huggins died in 2002.
